Mechanical Engineer located in Łódź Poland
Huygens engineers is looking for a mechanical engineer with at least 2 years of experience with potential for the future. Do you want to develop yourself, grow into the role of senior mechanical engineer and work in a team of professionals? This job is for you.
Location: Łódź, Poland
What do you do:
- Participate in conceptualizing, developing, analyzing, and synthesizing mechanical solutions to create production machines, mechatronic systems, energy transforming systems and industry specific components.
- The level of involvement will increase with your level of expertise.
- Assess work volume and contribute to project design
- Detailing work and making sure the delivered results meet the quality standards; you can rely on your colleagues.
- Work with customers, mainly from the Netherlands and the US, writing technical reports and making presentations.
- Work with suppliers.
What do you bring:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Working knowledge of common components, techniques and manufacturing methods for systems and machines in a range of applications, and the drive to expand this knowledge.
- Knowledge of structured design processes and how to utilize them.
- Good practice in CAD software.
- Working knowledge of Finite element analysis.
- Experience in designing functions that include constructions & be able to navigate in multiple application domains is a plus.
- Good presentation skills.
- Good command of professional English, both spoken and written. Dutch and English are the working languages.

Work environment
- Huygens Engineers’ main office is located in Hengelo, the Netherlands. There is also a department in The Hague. The engineers in Hengelo mainly focus on advanced mechanical engineering and physics, the engineers in The Hague focus on electrical engineering. We are in the process of setting up our first office abroad, in Lodz, Poland, where our colleague Andrzej is already located. All locations will work closely together and strengthen each other.
- From the Lodz office we support mechanical engineering projects, providing service in a range of disciplines, designing, prototyping, developing, detailing, calculations, and so forth. Note: The company is seeking for the office located near Politechnika Lódzka.
- Most work at Huygens Engineers is performed in our offices, travel to customers is for meetings and commissioning
